1 Split to Hvar

With a warm welcome from our Contiki Rep, jump on board our exclusive sailing boat and settle into your cabin, complete with your own ensuite bathroom.

The first port of call is one of Croatia’s most popular islands, Hvar.
This place sports the region’s hottest nightlife and a port packed with yachts from all over the world. You’ll soon understand why Hvar is a hot spot among the rich and famous.

Check out the town’s stunning square and 16th century theatre. The hilltop fortress rewards you with full-blown views over Hvar’s gorgeous harbour. This is picture perfect stuff - the island’s unique coastline, pine-covered slopes and vineyards offer photo opportunities galore.

Tonight, discover Hvar’s nightlife and bars.

Boat Lunch, Dinner

  • See the Arsenal and the Venetian Fortress
2 Hvar to Korčula

Kick start your day late, with a swimming stop in a remote cove and afterward, a long lunch on deck.

Next stop: Korcula, home of the famous adventurer, Marco Polo. It’s all about location with a prime position right on the water. This walled fishing village is filled with pretty buildings and has fascinating Venetian architecture, designed to protect the Old Town from wind and sun. Walk along the stone streets, past defensive towers and get a feel for this special spot.

Tonight, try some locally produced white wines and get some tips from your Tour Rep on where to go for a cute, atmospheric bar that is popular with the locals.

Boat Lunch, Breakfast

  • Visit the fortified Old Town
3 Korčula to Dubrovnik

Today we head to Dubrovnik, known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. With Baroque buildings, museums and monasteries, this eye-catching UNESCO World Heritage site is great to explore on foot. Get lost in the walled city’s web of winding streets.

For full scale views of the area, wander along the 2km of old town walls or hike up Mt Srj. Take a moment to remember Croatia’s recent history at an open-air exhibition and war memorial.

With a night off, pull up a table in the pedestrian district of the old town. Try out some fantastic seafood or spicy beef stew at one of the many local restaurants before a fun night out in this gorgeous town.

4 Dubrovnik

Today, head back into the pretty city or catch some sun on one of Dubrovnik’s awesome beaches.

Sail past the Elaphite Islands, known for the palms, cypresses, olive trees, citrus plantations and colourful reefs found there.

Tonight, we’ll dock in the unspoiled village of Trstenik, set on one of Croatia’s most beautiful harbours. With views of the Korcula archipelago back towards the Adriatic, this is the perfect spot for our optional Captain's dinner on deck. After some fantastic food, party and dance the night away with your new friends.

6 Trstenik to Makarska

A day’s sailing means time to catch up on postcards, read a book, or work on your tan. Listen to you MP3 player, enjoy a siesta, chat with friends and just relax.

This afternoon, we dock at Makarska, which sits at the foot of a massive cliff face. It’s got a super long sandy beach and a long promenade – just right for stretching your legs on land. For a bit of local action, head to the main square and check out the fruit and flower markets.

Tonight, maybe eat some grilled fish or a mixed seafood platter with some of your travel buddies at cute, local restaurant. If you’re up for a big night out, your Tour Rep will give you some pointers before you hit the town.

Boat Lunch, Breakfast

  • See Mt. Biokovo
7 Makarska to Split

After drifting past the wind-surfer’s paradise of Brac, we cruise on to Split. Get up close to real Roman heritage when you wander through the domain of Diocletian’s Palace in the city centre, complete with 220 buildings and a huge cathedral.

Make your last night one to remember with your friends. Soak up Split’s Mediterranean vibes and get amongst it at a waterfront bar. Later, head back into the maze of streets within the palace walls to find a whole lot of cool cafés and pumping clubs.
